OOB I was not a fan of this and let the sample dry down on a tester. Once it mellowed out, it became one of my favorites. The musk isn't light, but also isn't heavy like synthetic musks tend to smell (and which I hate). The cinnamon has a bit of an earthy, light spicy smell typical of ceylon.
This is a very unique scent and I am happy to have an option that doesn't smell sweet or like the holidays.
