Doop never fails to impress me with their bakery scents. they have the most unique and amazing bakery scents which is a category i’m not even crazy about. this is definitely their best cookie scent and prob my favorite cookie fo i’ve come across period. i’ve never tried pignoli cookies, so I can’t say how accurate it is. i’ve heard others say it’s not spot on. however, it is a very very delicious cookie scent. the sugar is up front and center on this one. white sugar, some gourmand vanilla and a smidge of creamy almond. it’s not super heavy or buttery smelling. just a pleasing very sweet bakery scent. because this one has no spice it could easily work year round and I think it would make a great base scent for any gourmand blend as long as you’re wanting it to be sweet. scent is strong, although I did find the scent to not last as long as other scents on my wax warmer, but it’s will worth it for this one.
Honestly, I don't care if this fo smells like pignoli cookies. To my nose it's a complex bakery smell that up front I get a lot of vanilla but then when it's burning so much more comes through. Maybe my gourmand picker is off... but I find so often that not all vanilla forward fragrances throw well (or they morph in the bad direction). This one throws and burns clean. Highly recommend !
I was so excited for this fragrance but it unfortunately missed the mark. It doesn’t smell like pignoli cookies at all. Now that’s not to say it’s a bad fragrance because it’s not. However, if you are looking for a true pignoli cookie fragrance this isn’t it.
