FRAGRANCE DESCRIPTION:
Candlelight Mass is an intimate and reverent fragrance that captures the stillness of a dimly lit sanctuary. The air is thick with the warm glow of beeswax candles, their golden light flickering across polished wood pews and ancient stone walls. Wisps of sacred incense curl upward, blending resinous frankincense with the gentle spice of myrrh. In the background, a whisper of cold cathedral air carries the faint scent of aged paper hymnals and worn leather-bound prayer books. It is a scent of quiet devotion, steeped in tradition, where warmth meets solemnity and time seems to stand still.

Top Notes:Cold Cathedral Air, Aged Paper Accord
Middle Notes:Beeswax Candles, Polished Wood, Leather-Bound Books
Base Notes:Frankincense, Myrrh, Resinous Amber

Not what I was expected

Love everything I’ve purchased before this. But I made soap and this has an element of bug spray to me. To be fair, others I’ve asked have liked it. Not my favorite.

Overly Resinous & Spicy, Lacking Atmosphere

When I purchased this fragrance, I expected a clean, calm profile with the waxy softness of beeswax candles and the airy freshness of the cold cathedral air and paper accord. Instead, the dominant note was frankincense and myrrh, giving the fragrance a very spice-forward character rather than the ozonic openness I was hoping for. I wasn’t able to detect the beeswax, though there were some noticeable wood notes.

My husband immediately associated the scent with attending Sunday Mass in his youth, but it was not a pleasant connection for him, and he asked that I not use it in the house. For me, the composition simply leaned too heavily on resin and spice to match my expectations. While I can appreciate the quality, this fragrance ultimately did not work for us. I suppose I just don't know what a candlelight Mass smells like. I really wanted this one to work for the holiday season, so I'm upset it didn't work out.
