A silver knife slips through a pale green dome in the hushed corner of an elegant bakery. Princess Cake opens with custard soft heliotrope, crushed jasmine, and candied lemon zest. The heart turns unexpected and refined as shadowed oakmoss meets bitter orange blossom and cinnamon bark. Almond marzipan melts into gilded amber, pale moss, and smoldering incense for a finish more sultry than sugary. It is the kind of scent that gives a beloved dessert a royal second life.
