Smells like baby powder

I had high hopes for this FO based on the name, but unfortunately it really just smells like baby powder. Maybe add more floral notes or something to give it more dimension?

cp soap

adding my soap details. discolored to brown in cp soap. scent morphed badly, but returned to to its original scent after cure. strength not the strongest, but present and very pleasant

Throws great

Really great fragrance here. Burns nicely. Definitely ladies perfume but would appeal to all imo.

This fo was such a pleasant surprise. honestly, the name did not excite me. while, yes the name of the fo does fit what it is, for someone who doesn’t know what old makeup smells like, it didn’t exactly get my gears going. this one just has to be smelled to get a feel for it. it’s quite unique in that the blend doesn’t really highlight or feature any one or two notes, it’s complex and more than the sum of its parts. this is one of those scents that brings together a feeling for things than actually smells like them. it’s certainly vintage, but if you imagine aged paper that has started to yellow. a wooden lodge with warm rays of light cutting through the autumn air. the sort of rays where you catch all the dust particles floating through it. in the room are lace covers, again aged and yellow. well, that’s what this scent makes me think of or brings to my minds eye. this scent would work well in woman’s bath and beauty products, it’s not overly feminine, but not quite unisex either. while it could work in warm weather, to me it’s more fitting for of an autumn or indian summer weather. this is a high brow scent, like many upscale scents, you have to go into it that this scent is not going to blow you out of the room like pumpkin pecan waffles would. it’s classy and doesn’t have to scream to get attention. it’s ever present, but I wouldn’t expect this one to maybe immediately grab visitors, but they would leave the space thinking it smelled good. I would say the throw is comparable to scents like palo santo, bum bum or baccarat in that regard. if you are one of those folks that can’t help but smell the next new thing, i would say this is one of those scents that is worthy of being included on that list.
